The steel antenna system, constructed in 1974, was originally used to relieve the telephone network. For a time, the tower was used to broadcast DVB-T, but this service was discontinued on June 3, 2019. Today, the tower houses antennas for microwave radio, mobile communications, and for broadcasting DAB radio programs (SRG 12C Block).
