Zurich Airport is allowed to build the new tower
The Federal Department of the Environment, Transport, Energy and Communications has approved the construction of the new tower at Zurich Airport. Approval for the new Dock A is expected to follow.
The Uvek approves the 77-meter-high control tower at Zurich Airport.
The new building replaces the outdated tower from 1985.
The total cost for Tower and Dock A is CHF 700 million.
The new Dock A is scheduled to be built in several phases starting in 2027.
